Senior Oracle Database Administrator

The Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) will provide comprehensive support, maintenance, and development of Oracle database environments for one of our upcoming contracts. The role involves managing standalone and clustered Oracle databases, implementing backup and recovery solutions, and supporting cross-platform integrations with SQL Server and MS Access systems. 

This position is contingent upon contract award.

• Administer Oracle Database environments across production, test, and development systems.
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases and associated components.
• Monitor performance and implement tuning strategies for optimal efficiency.
• Manage database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery using RMAN and Data Guard.
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, triggers, and scripts.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with GPO IT security and operational standards.
• Provide weekly performance and maintenance reports to the COR.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c).
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification preferred.
• Proficiency with PL/SQL, Linux/Unix environments, and shell scripting.
• Experience with cross-platform data management and integration (Oracle–SQL).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting government or large-scale enterprise database systems preferred.
