Oracle PL/SQL Developer

CTIS, Inc., a Rockville, MD based health informatics solutions company, requires an Oracle PL/SQL Developer who designs, develops, documents, unit-tests, implements and deploys web-based Java J2EE applications to support business requirements. If selected for this position, he/she must follow CTIS approved software development life cycle methodologies (SAFe® Agile) and all processes as required from time to time.

• Interacts with the business analysis team to understand project requirements.
• Develops overall architecture/ product design documents, technical design specifications for individual modules and technology justifications for architectural considerations.
• Ensure integration of entire system or subsystem
• Develop database objects like packages/procedures/functions/triggers/type objects using SQL Developer to support application features.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle including troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning and code re-use.
• Familiar with DBMS packages, DBMS jobs.
• Familiar with Cloud-based implementations particularly AWS RDS.
• Understand, and implement additional frameworks like Oracle APEX.
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools to support Project Development activities in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Development environment.
• Applies Oracle standard coding practices and industry standards.
• Perform Code Reviews and Unit Testing of PL/SQL code developed by others in the team.
• Work with team members to develop program units that integrate seamlessly into the overall system.
• Develop the application using SAFe® Agile Methodology.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or highly specialized knowledge in software development and web application technologies and 5-8 years’ experience in the field of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in:
• Oracle SQL
• PL/SQL
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in:
• Oracle Weblogic, Apache HTTP (OHS)
• Oracle APEX, Javascript, CSS, XML
• SAML integration for Oracle APEX
• Knowledge of CMMI Level 3 processes
• Excellent oral and written communications skills

This is a temporary contract position with an hourly rate of $50–$60, depending on experience.
