Overview

CTIS, Inc., a Rockville, MD based health informatics solutions company, requires a Java Developer with AWS(Cloud) experience who designs, develops, documents, unit-tests, implements and deploys web-based Java J2EE applications on AWS and on-premises infrastructure to support business requirements. Candidate must have Java full stack development experience and exposure to AWS Cloud native development. If selected for this position, he/she must follow CTIS approved software development life cycle methodologies (SAFe® Agile) and all processes as required from time to time.

 

This is a hybrid role, requiring two days per week in the office located in Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with the business analysis team to understand project requirements.
  • Develops overall architecture/ product design documents, technical design specifications for individual modules and technology justifications for architectural considerations.
  • Ensure integration of entire system or subsystem
  • Develop, document, unit-test, and deploy enterprise level multi-tier web applications using Object Oriented Concepts, J2EE, Node.js, Hibernate/JPA, Spring REST Web Services, WebLogic application server, Oracle relational database along with Telerik Kendo UI utilizing CSS, Bootstrap, HTML, jQuery, one or more JavaScript frameworks such as React, TypeScript, Angular.
  • Familiarity three or more of AWS cloud tech such AWS Serverless/AWS Lambda, AWS EKS/ECS, AWS CloudWatch, NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
  • Utilize Core Java concepts such as Reflection and Collections to make code generic and efficient.
  • Develop database objects like packages/procedures/functions/triggers using SQL Developer to support application features.
  • Understand, and implement additional frameworks like Spring Batch, Spring MVC in applications.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools to support Project Development activities in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Development environment.
  • Develop build packages using Maven.
  • Applies Java and Oracle standard coding practices and industry standards.
  • Applies Section 508/ Accessibility Standards compliant software development methodologies.
  • Develop the application using SAFe® Agile Methodology.
  • Knowledge of CMMI Level 3 processes
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or highly specialized knowledge in software development and web application technologies and 5-8 years’ experience in the field of Java development of which 3-5 years’ experience on an AWS cloud or hybrid environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in:
    • J2EE, JSP, Struts 2, Spring 3.0 on Eclipse IDE
    • HTML, JS, JQuery, Ajax, CSS
    • Oracle Weblogic, Apache HTTP (OHS)
    • One or more JavaScript frameworks such as React, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in:
    • Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL
    • SOAP/ REST, XML, XSD, XLST, WSDL
    • Maven
    • JUnit, JMock, Selenium
    • AWS Serverless/AWS Lambda, AWS EKS/ECS, AWS CloudWatch, NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
Annual Salary: $81,307.61 - $88,083.25
